I definitely have to learn some serious *nix text editing, I need to edit lots of code on remote linux servers. I have to keep multiple files open at once and switch from one to the other, with a common clipboard. Syntax coloring for XML and CSS would be welcome as well. It must be a text only, terminal based editor, no X available (ncurses is ok). What should I point my efforts to? Vi? Emacs? Something else? Suggestions are welcome, thanks.
