Ray Ozzie unveiled Microsoft's proposal named SSE, which stands for Simple Sharing Extensions. The extension's purpose is to enable bi-directional RSS (and OPML as well) to keep different sources in sync. The specs and the FAQs are pretty clear so I won't replicate the details here (in a couple of hours this will be everywhere anyway!), it's enough to say that this will open to a number of interesting sharing applications, from calendars to lists of every kind. It's noteworthy that Microsoft, maybe for the first time, published the specs under a Creative Commons license.
